"I liked me better before I knew what I was thinking!"

What?! What is so great about this meditation thing? I sit in silence, which is anything but silent, and listen to an endless tirade of self-flagellation: “I feel fat. I should go the gym later. I need to clean my bathroom now. I’m so lazy. My knees hurt. I’m getting old. I have no money!” My palms sweat, my emotions race and my legs begins to burn and itch till I must jump up and run, run, run this rat race called life. What is so great about that?
