2.) Weed #1: "There is not enough."
3.) This Week's Meditation: There is enough
4.) Inspired Affirmation

Spring is here! Time to plant our dreams and desires. But first things, first. We must weed out our soul garden. There are some persistent weeds in there. You know the ones--I'm not enough, I can't change anything, etc... Well these outdated beliefs might be putting a stop to manifesting your dreams. For April, we will turn our mindful lens to our beliefs, we will pull out those outdated beliefs and prepare our soil for a bountiful, beautiful garden of manifested dreams.

Here are four varieties of weeds that can be found in most soul gardens:

1.) There is not enough.
2.) I am powerless.
3.) I am not worthy.
4.) The Universe/God is untrustworthy.

****************************************************************
“There is not enough.”
*
Sure there is! Pull that weed right out of your soul garden and gaze at the wealth of enough-ness out there. Not only is there enough for everyone, but there is enough for you, too. Easier said than done, right?
*
This weed was a favorite in my garden for many years. I know it well. For me, it came down to my focus. If I focused on what I found in meditation, then I knew there was enough, I could feel it. If I focused on the human, material evidence of abundance (be it money, love, health, etc...) then I could affirm that negative, weedy belief every time I turned on the TV, or turned on my computer. I mean, look at the starving children, the poverty, the war and torture. How can we believe that there is enough love, health, and wealth for all?
*
But the truth of the matter is that this not enough-ness is what we HUMANS have created. We were given the power of choice, the power to create, the power of a dualistic experience. In order to know certain things, we have created their opposite. Think about it. The most powerful experiences of love have probably been because you have known heartache. The most powerful experience of monetary flow has probably come after a time of draught. This is what we signed up for... the human ride.
*
However, the human ride is not our core essence. Our core, our truth, is pure enough-ness. Our core is overflowing with love and abundance, peace and creativity. This is the space we touch in meditation. This is why we meditate-- to know our truth! Most of us meditators touch this pure space of awareness for probably a minute or two a day, that’s it. And yet, those two minutes of touching truth can change our entire life.
*
Funny how we can spend hours a day absorbing the news of not-enoughness and wonder how this manifests in our world. It’s all over the place, from the time we get up in the morning, to the time we go to bed. There’s the morning news, the afternoon news, the evening news, there are 24-hour news channels, radio news reports, and a million different papers. The headlines all tell us there is not enough. But what does your meditation time tell you? Which one do you want to believe?
*
Choosing to move through this world mindfully means choosing to show up for the greater truth. It means choosing to show up for yourself daily, in whatever way you create, so that you can focus on and expand your truth, deepening the beliefs that feel in alignment with your core truth. Does the belief that there is not enough feel in alignment to you? If that were the truth of you, would you experience a better life?
*
If your answer is no, than do your mindful work to affirm the belief that there is enough for us all, including you. Turn off your tv and look at the ocean, the sand. Turn off your radio and take in the stars and the sun. Look at how the flowers of the fields make no effort... they simply live in the knowingness that there is enough. Do your work to change your focus. Do your work to question your source, your God. Know that this source is all-loving, all-powerful, and all-present. How can a source of that magnitude know anything other than abundance? How can a source of that magnitude not be right where you are, in it’s fullness?

Meditation:

BE mindful in the following circumstances
1.) Driving/biking/walking to work : There is enough time. I can let go and relax.
2.) Paying your bills: There is enough abundance. I can be grateful my creditors trust me.
3.) Talking to your challenging boss/neighbor/friend: There is enough love. In this moment I can be compassionate.
4.) Working on a project: There is an abundance of ideas. I allow this project to be fun and easy.
5.) Moving through a challenging time yourself: There is enough support. It’s ok to be cared for.

Beloved Community- Not enough-ness sucks. It's no fun living with that belief. Shine your light of awareness on how much that comes up for you, and with loving kindness, choose to begin a new belief of plentitude.
It all starts with one step at a time.

Until next week... be good and take your good medicine!!!

Peace and Mucho Love,
